CDT Industry Day 12th December 2018 - Agenda announced
All CDT TERM Students and academics are invited to attend the CDT Industry Day on the 12th December 2018
The event will take place in Leeds at Weetwood hall and begin with a keynote from Professor John Fisher, Prof Fisher will discuss the importance of industrial engagement with academic research and how this has helped to shape this CDT. Academic and Industry Partners will then present current research projects followed by pitches inviting new project collaboration opportunities.
The newly launched GrowMedTech programme will be introduced by Dr Danielle Miles, followed by a careers talk session lead by Nick Eldred - Simsol. A showcase of CDT/DTC career success stories will take place prior to a buffet lunch where delegates will have the opportunity to network with all Academic and Industry partners as well as returning CDT/ DTC students.
The Afternoon will split into 2 parallel sessions, one session will be for Academics to pitch PhD projects to our Cohort 5 Year 1 students. The alternative session will be a Careers workshop lead by Ruth Windon for years 2-5 CDT Students.
