Sumaiya Al Hinai

I have been working as BMS for 16 years in haematology department at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital. I got my MSC from Manchester Metropolitan University in Biomedical Sciences (Transfusion Science) in 2007. My BSC was from Sultan Qaboos University in biomedical sciences.

What previous lab experience do you have?
Worked as BMS in a hospital lab.

What attracted you to the Centre for Doctoral Training in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine – Innovation in Medical and Biological Engineering

I am interested to learn more about tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
In Oman we have patient with Sickle cell diseases and patient who had car accident. I think the field has a lot of potential opportunities to be used to solve some of the issues related to the conditions for eg. Weakness of bone.

What benefits do you feel you get from the interdisciplinary nature of the course?
I get to know about other subjects such as engineering.
